Can you believe it? It's been a whole year since we opened Podiatry & Wellness Clinic in Polegate high-street, and what a year it's been!
If you've been following our founder, Lorraine Humphrey, over the years then you'll remember that she co-owned Polegate Podiatry & Health Clinic on Station Road for 6 years before opening Podiatry & Wellness Clinic on 4th February 2019. She may not have moved far in location but she's come a long way and is happier than ever at Podiatry & Wellness Clinic.

Rather than jump ahead and list all the upcoming events and goals of Podiatry & Wellness in 2020, let's have a little recap of everything that happened in 2019.
We opened our doors on 4th February at 57 High St in Polegate, sharing our clinic with the lovely R&L Tanning team. A lot of Lorraine's previous patients followed her to the new clinic but we also met lots of new faces along the way who turned into regular patients. Our physiotherapist, Neil Pincombe, also came down from Station Road, along with acupuncturist Nicky Yates.
Jane Gosden joined us as a podiatrist in February and has built up a great clientele. She's been an absolute asset to the team and has been described as kind, friendly and always willing to help. At the moment, Jane is in clinic on Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays. Have a look at our About Us page for more information on Jane's experience.
We raised over £50 for Dementia UK with our Easter Raffle in April. All money raised went to support families and loved ones through an Admiral Nurse service in the UK.
Aaron Knowles joined us towards the end of 2019 as a guest podiatrist, specialising in tissue viability and lymphoedema, and taking a keen interest in biomechanics. Aaron is an excellent podiatrist and although we haven't worked with him long, we can tell he will be a great part of the team and we look forward to what he brings in 2020.
We raised £368 for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne with our Christmas Raffle! This was our best raffle yet and we were so pleased with the amount that was raised. We can't thank our patients enough for taking part in the raffle. Our winners, Mr and Mrs Beale were announced on our Facebook page on 20th December 2019. All the money raised was sent to St Wilfrid's Hospice and you can see a photo of Lorraine below with one of St Wilfrid's fundraisers. We have some exciting news coming later this year about our charity work with St Wilfrid's, so again, keep you eyes pealed!
Our physiotherapy and acupuncture appointments with Neil Pincombe and Nicky Yates, have continued to be popular and have helped many patients with their pains and problems.
It's been a fantastic year overall, and although it was quite daunting for Lorraine to start again on her own with a new business, it ended up being one of the best decisions she made. Great things have happened, and even greater things are coming!
